Q: How long have you been operating/flying in the area?
A: Operating in this area for five years, we’ve accumulated 1000 hours of dedicated experience in hot air balloon flying. Our commitment to safety is evident through annual attendance at safety classes. It’s essential to note that flying airplanes is vastly different from flying a hot air balloon – it’s like comparing apples to oranges. Our specialized focus on balloon flying ensures a unique expertise and dedication to providing a secure and enjoyable experience.
Q: Do you have a commercial pilots FAA certificate?
A: Yes – Heather and Lilly are both FAA Certified Commercial Pilots and hold Class II Medical.
Q: What Insurance coverage does your company carry.
A: Our company is fully insured with a comprehensive and high-value policy in place. This commitment to insurance coverage underscores our dedication to ensuring the safety and security of our operations. This approach reflects our commitment to professionalism and responsible business practices.
Q: What is your safety record/accident history?
A: With over 1000 hours of specialized balloon flight experience, our outstanding safety track record, free from incidents or accidents, underscores our commitment to safety and extensive expertise. HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO GO FOR A RIDE?
At Confetti Balloons, we aim to provide you with a unique and memorable experience in the skies. Our pricing is as follows:
* $700.00 for a minimum of 2 passengers: This includes a private flight, tailored exclusively to your party, ensuring an intimate and personalized adventure.
* Additional passengers are $300.00: We have the flexibility to accommodate up to 9 passengers, subject to weight considerations.
*Kids 12 and under are $250.00
In the ballooning industry, the cost typically ranges between $300.00 and $700.00 per person, depending on factors such as the duration of the flight and the number of passengers. It’s essential to understand that hot air balloons, due to their FAA certification and operational complexities, are costly to own and maintain. The expenses encompass a dedicated crew, chase trucks, aircraft maintenance, and comprehensive commercial insurance.
Remarkably, ballooning today is significantly more affordable than in the past. Back in 1786, the equivalent cost in the U.S. was an astonishing $45,000 per passenger! The commitment of balloonists like us is to provide you with an extraordinary experience while striving to keep the cost to passengers as reasonable as possible.
Please keep in mind that pricing may vary from one balloon company to another, and our goal is to deliver exceptional value for your investment in this magical adventure.
HOW LONG IS AN AVERAGE BALLOON FLIGHT?
Throughout the flight, clear communication between the pilot and the dedicated ground crew is maintained via radios. The pilot conveys the intended landing location to the crew, ensuring a coordinated and smooth descent. Once the balloon gracefully touches down, the crew’s invaluable assistance comes into play, facilitating the retrieval of equipment and providing a comfortable return for passengers to the launch site. It’s a harmonious collaboration that ensures the entire journey is as memorable as the flight itself.
WHAT SHOULD WEAR FOR MY BALLOON FLIGHT?
* Durable Outdoor Clothing: Choose clothing that can withstand the outdoor environment, which may include fields, desert brush, or other natural settings.
* Closed-Toed Shoes: Opt for sturdy footwear such as boots or sneakers, as there’s a possibility that the balloon may land in slightly uneven or rugged terrain.
* Layered Clothing: Balloon flights typically begin early in the morning when it can be cooler on the ground. However, it’s essential to keep in mind that it becomes warmer once you’re inside the balloon basket. Dressing in layers allows you to adapt to changing temperatures during the flight, ensuring your comfort throughout the journey.
* Long Pants: In both summer and winter, it’s advisable to wear long pants. This not only provides protection against the cold but also guards against potential contact with prickly vegetation at the landing site.
By following these clothing recommendations, you can ensure that your balloon flight is not only comfortable but also enjoyable, regardless of the season or location.
